Karen started teaching shortly after having her first child, at the time Karen was a primary school teacher in Carlisle and took to teaching babies and toddlers part-time on a weekend.
Through the years the classes have grown on the back of Karen’s hard work and commitment to every aspect of the business which she now concentrates on full-time having given up teaching.
Faye has been part of the Baby and Toddler swimmers family since 2012. She first came with her little boy and continued a few years later with her daughter. Faye started working on the admin in 2016 and has been an absolute lifesaver. Faye is calm, trustworthy, professional and VERY organised.
Faye previously was a bank manager and since having children has trained to be a teaching assistant. She has worked in a number of schools and is always very well respected.
Faye completed the baby an toddler swimming certificate in 2021 and is now teaching swimming lessons with the team.
Samara joined the team January 2020 and was only working a couple of months before the first lockdown started. We can honestly say though that in that short space of time she slotted in perfectly. Samara has 2 gorgeous girls who have been swimming with us from babies and so she knew our programme really well. She is a fully qualified Primary teacher and has a gorgeous manner with both the children and parents. I haven’t heard a bad word said against her. She is organised and knows exactly where she would like the children to progress to.
This is Paula who joined the team in 2016. Paula specialises in our school aged lessons and we think she’s pretty brilliant. She has a lovely manner with the children and they adore her. Paula definitely knows how to get the best out of the children she teaches and her firm but fair approach means she certainly delivers.
Paula is a qualified nurse and has worked in numerous countries. Before joining the team she was a teaching assistant at a local primary school.
Sarah has 2 children currently swimming with us who are both in our swim school and have been swimming with us since they were babies. Sarah is a Secondary Maths teacher as well as working with us. In her youth she was a member of the Carlisle Synchronised swimming team and more recently she has trained and taken part in duathlons so its safe to say Sarah loves the water.
Deborah first came across Baby and Toddler Swimmers around 16 years ago when she brought her eldest son to the class. She now swims with her 2 youngest children and loves the water. Deborah is a qualified teaching assistant and so is very good with the children.
